Education Methodology

The Internal Auditing Professional (IAP) Program employs a distinctive approach to education that comprises several stages, as follows:

1-Self-Study:

The TIA provides a comprehensive study package tailored for independent study. The course materials are periodically revised to ensure they are up-to-date.

2-Training Classes:

This is an essential stage that enables candidates to gain a thorough understanding of the subjects and prepare adequately for the examination.

3-Case Study Approach:

The program promotes case-based learning to enable candidates to acquire problem-solving and decision-making skills in complex business situations.

4-Project Work:

The project work enhances candidates' practical application skills relevant to their area of study. Candidates are encouraged to undertake their project work under the guidance of a Project Guide.

5-Examinations:

The examinations serve to assess and evaluate the candidate's comprehension of the subject matter and level of skill development comprehensively.

6-Optional Classes:

The Internal Auditing Professional (IAP) Program mandates a minimum duration of six months for each stage, which includes coaching and self-study time. The coaching sessions for bi-annual sessions are held from March to June and from September to December. The faculty responsible for conducting the classes possess professional qualifications and practical knowledge in their respective fields. These coaching sessions are mandatory, but students may opt-out if they are exempted by The Institute of Auditing (TIA) due to the unavailability of coaching facilities or if they have already attended classes at other professional institutes for the corresponding subjects. Additionally, correspondence courses are also available. The classes are conducted at TIA's own supervised or accepted coaching centers/campuses in all major cities, with the TIA's own center currently operating in Islamabad.
